This page explains how to request deletion of your Pixopixo account and the data related to it. Pixopixo is the app and the developer name shown on the Google Play listing. You can ask us to delete your account and related data at any time using either method below.
How to request deletion
There are two ways to request deletion. The first is fastest and is completed from inside the app.
- Option A — Delete in the app: open the Pixopixo app, sign in to the account you want to delete, go to Settings, then choose Delete account and confirm. The account is deactivated immediately and deleted permanently after the 30-day grace period described below.
- Option B — Request by email: send an email from the address linked to your Pixopixo account to pixoai@pixopixo.com with the subject "Account deletion request". Include your account email and, if you have it, your user ID. Tell us whether you want to delete the whole account and its data, or only specific content.
You can also use Option B if you no longer have access to the app. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before we act, so that no one else can delete your data. We respond to verified requests without undue delay, and normally within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
Once your request is verified, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the personal data tied to your account, including:
- Account information, such as your email address, phone number if provided, authentication provider identifiers, session information, and verification status.
- Profile information, such as display name, username, avatar, gender, birthday, bio, and profile and language settings.
- Your creative content, such as prompts, ideas, uploaded media, camera captures, source videos, generated assets, drafts, unfinished creations, and their metadata.
- Engagement data, such as likes, favorites, follows, notifications, content visibility settings, and creation history.
- Feedback and support correspondence linked to the account, where it is not legally required to retain it.
- Public works you created are removed from public areas unless retention is required by law or safety obligations.
Data that is retained, and for how long
Some limited data may be kept after account deletion where we are required or permitted to do so. This is what we retain and for how long:
- 30-day grace period: when you delete in the app, the account is first deactivated for 30 days. Signing back in during this window restores the account. If you do not sign back in, deletion becomes permanent after 30 days.
- Backups: copies of your data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days while the backup cycle completes, after which they are deleted.
- Security, fraud, and abuse records: limited records needed to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, or keep Pixopixo safe may be kept for up to 12 months.
- Legal, tax, and accounting records: information we must keep to comply with applicable law may be retained for the period required by that law, then deleted.
- Aggregated or anonymized data: data that can no longer be linked to you may be kept to operate and improve Pixopixo, because it is no longer personal data.
After the retention periods above end, the retained data is deleted or permanently anonymized. Our handling of retention and deletion is also described in the Pixopixo Privacy Policy.
Deleting some data without closing your account
If you want to delete individual content instead of your whole account, you can remove it in the app, or email pixoai@pixopixo.com with the same subject and say which content you want removed. Your account and the rest of your data will stay in place.
